What a great few days the weather has been really lovely and the help and gifts have been well and gratefully received, the tree stump is a great bench – thanks to Mark and his team for the tree removal and Jamie for fixing the seat on and special thanks to Ged for the fold up table, windows, sheet materials and loo – we are now two loos (la trek).
We now have our plumber Reg and builder Will ready to get stuck in early September. Kirsty came to help with the garden clearing more Ivy and finding more garden – it just keeps getting bigger – the light on the building is a great improvement but the shade from the big tree most welcome on hot days – it is a lovely place to sit even more so with the picnic table – but no time to sit and contemplate for long too much to do!
I have started the wall improvement work clearing loose paint, mortar brick dust, cobwebs, fallen down bits from the old lathe and plaster eaves, filling holes, cracks and replacing mortar in the old brickwork of the reception building in preparation of the next stage, good preparation is key. Please see the new photos and keep watching this space.
