Having delayed due to covid & Phase two of the gallery project we are now ready to set up the Penn Berkeley Prize as an annual Photography competition – Entries from Students and Photographers First, Second and Third prizes in both sections with a public voted favourite entry. Award sculpture, certificates and rosettes to the winners.

Winners announced and a display of finalists work at the Long Gallery Bridgy Gallery Somerset 7th May – 6th July 2025 (presentation evening date to be announced).

This prize has been set up in memory of Kevin Penn-Berkeley it will be awarded annually to the Best entries in an open call for Colour or Black & white photos to be submitted by 1st March 2025 marked Student or Adult entry – entries £4 each (maximum 2 entries per person) Students concession £2 per entry.

Rules

• Student must be in full time education

• Electronic submission by email by 1st March with entry Fee.

Photographs can be any subject – those selected as finalist will need to send 6 x 4 print for display, by post no later than end of April 2025 ( Letter from School or college and signed parental permission to exhibit and promote finalist artwork and winners image.)

Winners will need to provide a recent photo of themselves.
